Southeastern Wisconsin’s Best Places for Holiday Shopping

Yes, it’s about that time! Here is a list of events where you can buy local, handmade gifts for your loved ones. Is there anything better?

The Crafty Fair – Sunday, November 13

The Crafty Fair, held at the Goodman Community Center in Madison will feature 35 artists creating all sorts of handmade goodness including: jewelry, clothing, soap, greeting cards, quilts, ornaments, and many other fun and creative items to explore. You will surely be able to find gifts for everyone on your list.

You will also be able to snack on delicious cupcakes, as well as create some buttons of your own. This show is being organized by Rosy Hawbaker of REcreative Crafts.

Handmade for the Holidays – Saturday, November 19

The 2nd annual Handmade for the Holidays urban craft fair will take place in downtown Oshkosh. It is organized by dainty daisies with over 50 vendors. The event takes place at Becket’s city center court! Live music, photos with Santa by Laurie Marie photography from 12-2 & goody bags for the first 50 shoppers!

This is the event where we will be displaying, so I sure hope to see you there!

Art vs. Craft – Saturday, November 26

Art vs. Craft is an annual shopping event in Milwaukee, WI at MSOE. AVC brings together a diverse range of makers who showcase their handmade goods in person, selling directly to the public. Since the first event in 2004, Art vs. Craft has drawn over 10,000 shoppers and over 450 different vendors from the Midwest and beyond.

You will find unique clothing, jewelry, ceramics, household items, toys, stationary, soaps, handbags, stuffed animals, paintings, prints, ornaments and much more! The show provides an opportunity to avoid mass-produced goods by purchasing items directly from the creative source. We are proud to be a part of the ongoing international movement that supports D.I.Y. (do it yourself) ethics, independent artists, small businesses, and eco-friendly companies.

(I’ll be volunteering at the door between 10 and 12. Come by and say hi!)

Seventh Annual Holiday Craftacular – Saturday, December 3

The East Side Club will once again host the seventh annual Holiday Craftacular! There will be 50 booths with vendors offering everything from one of kind clothing, to accessories, paper products, toys & many many more treasures. You are sure to find the perfect gift for everyone on your holiday list and maybe even a little gift for yourself!

Come down, grab a cocktail, and remember to buy handmade this holiday season!
