Recent Projects – Weddings and Purses and Princesses, Oh My!

Yoozer! Where did last week go? I post an article about Small Business 101 and then disappear. I think that’s a lesson in it’s own right… Time management. You must have it to be a successful entrepreneur.

To make up for my lack of posts last week, I’m going to come at you fast and furious in the next few days. Let’s start off with a quick look at what’s been keeping me from writing – my recent creations!

This first piece was a custom order for the most laid-back bride I have ever met. She inquired about a hair piece at the Village Green Street Fair. She was getting married the next Saturday! I’m glad I had time to help. I created this piece using muslin and vintage lace, which proved to be exactly what she wanted.

Next up is one of the new purses I’ve added to my
Everyday Occasion line of repurposed purses found at thrift stores and dressed up with fabric flowers. I love the red and white seersucker on the denim purse – perfect for summertime!

Miss Cassie was one of the first brides that signed up with me last year, so I was so excited to turn over her full order earlier this month. She requested junior bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl pomanders, ceremony decorations, and a wrist corsage for a reader. She’s not getting married until September, but as a professional event planner, girl’s got everything ready now! So excited and proud of her!!

Speaking of beautiful ladies… Miss G turned out to be the perfect model for my princess wand! This diva in training shows just how perfectly this wand can be for photo shoots. Calling all photographers – add this to your supply bag for when you need to get the shy kids out of their shells.

The final things I’ll show you this month are two bouquets I created for the raffle winner from this winter’s
Love Story wedding show in Stevens Point. Liz is getting married next May, but was ready to commit to her colors and style now. She wanted two bouquets in Tiffany blue, white, and black. I made each a little different than the other. She’s going to use one as a toss bouquet and keep the other for herself.
