Suggestions to Shop Local This Holiday Season

You know I’m a big fan of shopping local, so I’ve got to give y’all a list of go to places for holiday presents for your groom, your bridesmaids or you mom. I promise you can find unique presents at moderate prices and have a lot more fun than you’d ever have at a big box store!

Food & Drink

Of course I start with gourmet treats. No sizes to worry about or room colors to match…just good tastes to share! Rishi Tea provides a cold weather staple, while Great Lakes Distillery warm you up in a much different way. Mulled wine anyone?

Indulgence Chocolatiers just opened a shop a couple of weeks ago in Shorewood. They have truffles, bars, and boxes items making for perfect stocking stuffers!

Clothes

MoDE is a pretty new addition to the Tosa area shops. Also, Urban Laundry and Bangles & Bags in Tosa (B&B has multiple locations) never disappoint. Hit up Lela and Stephanie Horne when downtown.

Other Stuff

Magnolia & Co. is a beautifully arranged shop in Wauwatosa filled to the brim with great home decor. Samara Garden and Home is another secret east Tosa antique store. Boswell Book Company is a great place for… you guessed it. Finally, Broadway Paper can be a great place to find cards, journals and the actual gift wrap.

If I didn’t fill a need, check out Local First Milwaukee’s new directory for more ideas. They’ve got access to everything!
