You might go out shopping today for the items Santa didn’t bring you, but don’t forget to always be on the lookout for inspiration for your big event! The leftover holiday decorations (and the sales that come with them this time of the year) could be perfect for your party.
Obvious things to be on the lookout for:
- Twinkle lights
- Floral picks covered in glitter in your colors
- Wrapping paper sans Santas
- Tissue paper
- Candles (real and battery-operated)
Other items may be a bit more “out of the box”, but you’re trying to be creative, right?
- Ornaments or garlands in your colors
- Serving platters or bowls
- Baskets
- Candy melts and chocolate making supplies
- Wreaths
- Christmas trees!
The tree idea may sound a little off the wall, but if you are having an event December through March, it would be easy to decorate the tree in your wedding colors and “wintery” designs that would play in beautifully to your decorations. The tree can be used as your new family tree after the wedding.
