It’s Valentine’s Day, which means that this girl (and all girls) is thinking chocolate, jewelry and all sorts of other schmoopy things. Throughout the years, men have been giving women these gifts on this day, birthdays, Christmas, and well, any time is a good time for presents. This means the ladies in your life may have great collections of jewelry and romance just waiting to be tied into your wedding day!
You may have heard of brooch bouquets already in your wedding research. They are becoming a trend for good reason. These bouquets are stunningly beautiful! Most are ornate; all are intricately detailed. Though typically more appropriate for a formal wedding, casual bouquets can be created using more “everyday” jewelry. If you are considering a jewelry bouquet, let me make a suggestion. At your wedding shower, ask each invitee to bring a piece of jewelry that has sentimental value to them that you can borrow. At the event ask them for the story behind the piece. You now will have a great collection of love, memories, and good luck to get you down the aisle! Don’t fret if you don’t have a enough pieces to create a stand-alone bouquet. Most designers will have their own collection to supplement your supplies or you could tie in other elements into your piece.
