I recently stumbled upon this wedding from Ryan Ray Photography while on Pinterest. Every little detail about it is quite lovely, but the thing that stuck out the most for me was the fireplace alter.
What a unique decoration! It’s a great way to set the mood for the event. A mantelpiece could easily be formal, but this one is farm chic and lends itself to the rest of the wedding decorations. I love how it makes you feel like you’re inside while enjoying all the outdoors has to offer.
A similar idea would be to use an old chest or even a short bookshelf. Any of these pieces could be put in your home after the event and cherished forever.
