I love a good beach party… I love food… I love events that have 5,000 of my closest friends… If you join me in liking any of those things, it looks like Newaukee is once again providing a good time for us.
On Friday, August 3rd, Newaukee is hosting their second annual Urban Island Beach Party at the Lakeshore Park, that secret space behind Summerfest and just south of Discovery World. There will be fish, beer, pig, and bands. It’s sure to be a good time!
Even without the party, you should be looking for a reason to discover this little treasure. I headed out to this park on a run this weekend and totally got sidetracked from a good speed by all the beautiful views! The space is MUCH bigger than I expected. There are a number of information placards and benches to rest. I guess people even camp out there.
So bring your significant other to the big party (Hawaiian shirts optional) or just come for a stroll any other day. It’s bound to be memorable either way!
