The authors of this blog put out great inspiration for any party: wedding, birthday, Tuesday-night-dinner, Christmas, etc. They’ve got good ideas for everything. One of my recent favorites was an inspiration board for a purple and pumpkin color combination.

You see this color combination a lot in school colors. That said, it’s very easy to be garish. (Is that a word or something my mom made up and I’m still using??) I like how the ladies have used all sorts light and dark hues and a lot of barely off white to formalize the look. You could easily do this with any two favorite colors. Red and blue, pink and green… They would all look pretty (and preppy) when designed the same way.
