Hi guys, it’s Eggroll. Mama was taking too long to share pictures of my first Christmas, so I thought I’d just go ahead and do it for her. (My apologies in advance for this picture-heavy post. Mama went a little crazy with the camera!)
As I understand it, Christmas is a month-long activity, right? We had party after party, including one at home, one at my Aunt Renee’s house, and one down in Illinois with all of my cousins. They were all so much fun! There was laughter, tears, and surprises for all.
Before the parties started, mama took my ten-month old pictures. She tried to get me by the tree, but I was having too much fun with the paper and my buddy, Noah, to focus.
Our first Christmas was on Christmas Eve at Aunt Renee’s house. I loved spending time with my cousins, but you know what was even cooler? This scooter!
What do you think? I think I look pretty cool astride this sweet ride, no?
On the other hand, this next picture makes me nervous. Daddy looks too comfortable with all these girls. I hope he doesn’t get any ideas. I might like one sister someday, but this would be a handful!
The second Christmas party was just mama, daddy, Noah and me. We opened presents on Christmas morning before breakfast. I got new toys, books, and pjs. Mama thought I’d really like a rocking horse, but I wasn’t having it. It’s gas-powered only for this gal!
Mama and daddy exchanged gifts themselves, but mama said this was the best Christmas present…
I’m officially a walker! Mama got all teary since I took my first real steps on Christmas morning. To which I say…
Barf.
P.S. This silly clown suit I’m in? Mama wore it on her first Christmas, so I got the honor this year. I think she was forgetting she was born in April and a month early… It’s a little snug around the middle, no?
Oh, and Noah really loved his new toy, too. He was bouncing all over playing catch with himself. Mama was just happy to have a toy that wasn’t dinging up the hardwood floors.
After presents, we all played with our toys and took naps. We stayed in our pjs all day, even for our fancy Christmas dinner of fondue! Seemed like a normal day for me, but mama and daddy thought it was pretty cool.
I think I was over-served at dinner!
The day after Christmas we drove down to IL to do Christmas two more times. My cousin Tessa was dressed up just like me! Here she is telling me all about ice cream sandwiches. I can NOT wait until I’m old enough for those! They sound delightful!!
That weekend I jumped right into the frey, playing with all the cool toys in Memaw’s secret toy room and played piano with my Aunt Roschelle.
I got to spend time with Memaw. That’s the best!
It was all pretty awesome except for one thing. That scary guy in the red suit followed me to Memaw’s house. Why won’t he leave me alone!?
I wish everyday could be Christmas. Spending all this time with mom and dad was awesome. They’re the coolest!
It’s now all cold and icky outside. Mama doesn’t like this weather, so we’ve been home a lot. Boo. Bring on summer!
Love,
Eggroll
