I’m sure you saw this coming, but today’s “grateful for” theme is yoga! I am so surprised with how enamored I am becoming with the practice because of my time at training. Also, yoga comes with fun accessories. I’ve upgraded my music via Spotify. I’ve invested in more yoga pants than real pants. Life is good.
Here are two specific yoga-related things I am grateful for:
Integrative Yoga Therapy Teacher Training at Haleybird
Per their description, “Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) is an internationally recognized pioneer and leader in training Yoga professionals who can bring the ancient insights of Yoga into mainstream wellness programs. Our program is based on a vision of health as a unity of body, mind and spirit.” Instead of just learning about yoga as an exercise program that can reduce stress, our training is teaching us how to involve yoga practices in health, be it mental or physical. This is all still so new to me, but I cannot learn enough. Luckily enough, the four teachers at Haleybird are THE BEST yoga teachers a girl could want. I not only get the training from them, I get to see great mentors in action, too!
The next session of training starts at the end of the month, but it’s already sold out. The next session after that starts in September, giving you lots of time to make space on your schedule. If you are in the area, I strongly suggest you consider it. Even if you’re not sure you want to be a teacher, this will definitely add to your repertoire of holistic health options.
Gym Bag from oGorgeous Gym Bags
I talked about this bag for-ev-er. Can I tell you, this was totally worth the wait! I found the oGorgeous bags from Blogilates, a great blog for Pilates ideas. Cassey posts bunches of videos and worksheets to keep you motivated not just in the Pilates world, but for cardio, too. (And she looks hot while doing it!) Anyway, she’s also super creative and made these bags.
The one I got is made of black vegan leather (which is just a fancy name for plastic, right?) outside and royal blue fabric inside. There are all sorts of fancy pockets, including one for the laptop and one for the yoga mat, but I bought this bag solely for the water bottle holders. When I travel, something always gets wet and/or sticky when I throw in a soda bottle and then jockey for position in line. These two pockets keep the bottles upright! Mind boggling scientific breakthrough!
