Earlier this year, I was approached by a bride on Etsy who had a very specific image for her wedding. She wanted a “modern vintage” look that tied in a great color combination of eggplant purple, slate gray and mustard yellow. It was going to be a relatively casual affair. The groom would be in a cardigan and there was only one bridesmaid. She asked me to make bouquets and boutonnieres tying in the color scheme, the theme and fabric that was used to make the groom’s tie.
Hilary did an amazing job putting everything together. I’ve included some pictures below to show you my part, but also check out Verve Studio to see the rest of the details. I love everything from the birds on the cake to the poofy tulle skirts on the flowergirls. I love weddings like this – such personality and originality!
Many thanks to Verve Studio for sharing their beautiful shots you see below.
Isn’t Hillary just gorgeous? I love the hair…the dress…the veil…the whole look!
This simple bouquet was the perfect accent to the look. It gives just a pop of color, but wouldn’t take away from the bride.
(Isn’t this a great shot? You know this is a moment they’ll both remember forever!)
