First off…you should hopefully deduce I am not pregnant due to the poor health choices I made over the weekend in Vegas. So let’s just get that off the table… no news on the baby front.
What I am super excited to share is that Randy and I have found a new house! We are moving to Shorewood, a neighborhood I can’t believe I haven’t discovered until recently. Everything is available in walking distance. Downtown Milwaukee is still close, but the schools are better than true city life. (There will hopefully be baby news someday!)
The house is 3 bedroom, 1.5 baths. (Yah – 2 toilets and 2 garage spaces!!!) The same gentleman has lived in the house for 36 years, so there is a lot of cosmetic projects we’ll need to take on right off the bat. If you are a follower on Pinterest, my apologies for blowing up your feed with ideas for the kitchen, bath, garden, bedroom, living room, dining room… Ok, you get the idea.
Randy and I are in the market for a kitchen design center (I think). We want to knock out the wall between the kitchen and dining room and make it one big space. We’re up for doing some of the work ourselves, but we’re struggling with setting up the plans. Milwaukee area folks – any suggestions?
I’m sure you want to see pictures, but I’m being weird about internet safety as long as the listing is still out there, so I’ll just leave you with this one.
If there was ever a sign that I belong to a house, it would be a decorative metal chicken screwed into the fireplace.
We close at the end of March. And then the fun begins!!
Congratulations!! How exciting. Joe Rogers is a good guy that I can recommend. He can give you some ideas. I’ll get his contact info for you. I also have an electrician who is super nice, reasonable and good and will moonlight. He’s a little hard to pin down, though. His name is Terry.
Thanks Lisa! I’ll take any and all connections!
Congratulations on finding a house you like. I’m here to help with renovations, to make it into a house you love!
Congratulations!
Congratulations! Love the chicken! I’ve always wanted a house to fix up.
