I can’t believe it. I just simply can’t believe that Eggroll is a month old. Well, actually she is five weeks and a day old now, but she was a month old exactly when we took these pictures. Yes, I’m jumping on the bandwagon and doing monthly pictures, but just like breastfeeding, I promise not to do it long enough that it’s a little weird.
This outfit Eggroll is in is one of my favorites. I don’t know why; maybe it’s the crabs or the orange and light blue colors or the fact that it’s terry cloth, but it’s just so damn cute. Or maybe it’s the model. 🙂
Here she is doing pilates since mom can’t quite work her core yet…
Speaking of mom, here we are recreating a picture of me and my mom. That’s almost a smile on Eggroll’s lips. We’re getting closer!
Eggroll did so well with these pictures, she got a fist bump from dad. They’ve mastered this, but are still working on “blowing it up”. I expect a whole secret handshake by her third month.
After doing a few pictures on our bed, we moved down to the Morris chair that has special meaning. My dad started building the chair before his accident. A friend of his finished it for me and Randy stained it and had cushions made. This will be the location we go back to each month so we can watch progress (and to pretend Eggroll is taking pictures with her grandpa.)
Of course my other child wanted to get in the photo-taking action.
Hey, I used to be your main model. WTH, mom?!
I must admit – they are pretty adorable together, no?
But Noah disagreed.
I just need to fix this one little hair out of place… Ok, now we are perfect.
No, Noah… Y’all will always be perfect to me.
