The wedding industry social media is all atwitter (quite literally) about a recent article published by Bride Tide Top 100 Wedding Blogs talking trends for 2013 events. I could get on board with a great number of them!

As you look down the list, you may think they are conflicting, but I don’t think they are. One blogger suggests that patterns will be fashionable and birds will be everywhere in decor. Then another author suggests that things will be more simple. Well, that doesn’t sound simple, Maggie! But it does.
Instead of going to a wedding store for a formal gown or to work with 14 different vendors to get the look you want, brides will be able to find bridesmaids dresses at their favorite boutique while shopping for everyday clothes and buy out a stores collection of birdie items to decorate her candy table. (Hey, this list doesn’t tell us what’s the new candy table! Wait…they do. Interactive snack stations are the new thing says Christina at Intimate Weddings.) So while the look may not be simple, the process is going that way.
I hope lace and the 1920s look stays around forever and ever. I think I missed my era.
