100 Things to Do in 2013

If you know me, you know I do a lot of reflecting at the end of the year to get ready for the time that follows. What can I say, the planner in me LOVES this time of year!

This year I found a new-to-me blog with a workbook to go through this year and next. There were a bunch of topics covered that got me thinking. I’ll discuss more after the holiday break, but for today I wanted to share a fun exercise Leonie suggested. She has us list 100 things to do in 2013. Could be personal or professional, serious or silly.

Here’s my list.

  1. Try vegan days.
  2. Paint my nails.
  3. Buy more workout clothes.
  4. Be outside whenever possible.
  5. Wrestle with Noah.
  6. Cuddle with Noah.
  7. Visit Randy at work.
  8. Try gluten-free baking.
  9. Try tofu.
  10. Write fiction short stories.
  11. Find one voice for my blog.
  12. Figure out the future of Mark the Occasion Designs.
  13. Decide if the extra job is right for me.
  14. Meditate.
  15. Walk.
  16. Read more books.
  17. Learn from magazines.
  18. Clean out my Google Reader.
  19. Master Twitter.
  20. Challenge M to write.
  21. Report to M on my writing.
  22. Have small dinner parties.
  23. Host one big soiree.
  24. Find a purpose at MPM.
  25. Find other nonprofits to support.
  26. Be active in networking groups.
  27. Wear lipstick.
  28. Plant pretty flowers.
  29. Make writing a priority.
  30. Become a better salesperson.
  31. Be OK with my decisions.
  32. Be here now.
  33. Clean out mom’s house.
  34. Let go of the lost Christmas items.

As you can see, I only made it to 75 items. #76 should be “stop looking at all the shiny objects”, but I really did this on purpose. I’d love to hear your thoughts on other things that should be done in 2013. Doesn’t have to be for my list. Could be on yours.
