My focus for the blog in August is “Repurposed and New Purposes”. We’re going to talk about ways to reuse vintage items and how to breath a different life into other pieces. To start, I’d like to bring up the special wrist corsages I make for the mothers of the brides and grooms.

Earlier this year, I had a bride request wrist corsages for her mom and future mother-in-law using leftover fabric from her bridal gown alterations. I loved this idea! After I sent her the pieces, she shared them on The Knot and the rest is history! I do believe this is officially now a trend.
I have made these unique wrist corsages using all kinds of gown fabric, including a delicate beaded piece. I’ve even included some colored fabric as accents for some.
The bracelet can be your traditional beaded number or I can use something that looks more like jewelry. In short, as is the case for any of my other pieces, all options are open.
