As we have already agreed, 2014 was the year of the Moscow Mule. This ginger and vodka drink was everywhere! So let me be the first to suggest a version perfect for your Christmas, New Years, or “it’s snowing and I don’t have to go to work” festivities.
I call this one a Moscow Turkey because it goes great alongside the typical holiday meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. And because it tastes like Christmas in a glass with the cranberry and vanilla flavors!
St. Nick did not bring me the traditional cooper Moscow mule mugs, so I went with my next favorite holiday glass*. Don’t these old-fashioned champagne glasses scream “holiday”? (Or is that just me with the memory of “New Years Eve in a box”, complete with plastic glasses, noise-makers and all sorts of hats and headbands?!)
*Because of my glass choice, I decided to not serve the drink with any ice. If you need to ensure Aunt Fanny’s drink gets a little watered down, feel free to throw in a whole handful.
